Joe Barberi born in Florence Italy, the last preserved Renaissance city in the world regarded by many as the art capital of Italy. Surrounded by art Joe is expressing creativity first painting landscapes in his teens and later designing fashion, working, as a Fashion Designer for over 10 years. Fell in love with the idea of creative layouts Joe become working also like an art director. Because of his passion for photography Joe decide to travel to the States spending a significant time on the roads fascinated by the big spaces in California, taking lots of black and white landscapes shoots with the Nikon F his first camera. After studying photography and darkroom in Los Angeles and S.Barbara California for tree years he decided to open a photo studio in Los Angeles from 1995. Based after more than 5 years in L.A. working in N.Y. and Miami. Joe left the States and moved to Europe been 7 years based in Scandinavia.Since 2005 he has also had a base in London, working in the UK and Italy, represented in South Africa from January 2007 and based in Cape Town for over two years. Using his previous art background experience Joe learned to work his photos in post production, delivering a finished product that is updated internationally, competitive in creativity as well as in level of quality. His capacities of delivering a rare finished eye catching product, also gives flexibility in terms of use both as image products in advertisement or as editorials in fashion. Barberi has produced every kind of photographic shoot: from the simplest studio still life to the most complex location projects still working also like a photo stylist and art director. Joe is based now in Germany, covering international market places like South Africa, London, Paris, Italy.
